I don’t like that question. I never know how to answer.

Do I say I’m a graphic designer? I have a couple of years of professional experience, but I do more than just that. I’ve been producing music for a decade—surely, that counts for something, right? But I also love drawing and filmmaking. So, am I an illustrator? A filmmaker?

I’ve explored painting, film, music, sculpture, and animation. When it comes down to it, creating is what I love most.

So if we were meeting for the first time, I’d probably just say:

Hey, my name is Garrett. I’m an artist.
